July 23rd for Music and Camping Ticket holders.
The campgrounds will remain open until Sunday, July 27th
at noon. Do not arrive early. You will be turned away.
Please note: every vehicle
entering the campgrounds must have a Campground
Vehicle Reservation. Click
Here for more info.
The first band performances begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 23rd.
Will
all of the campgrounds open at once?
Yes.
With the purchase of your Campground Vehicle Reservation,
you will know in advance which campground entrance to use.
All campgrounds will open at 10:00am on Wed. 7/23/08.
Will
the entrances to the campgrounds be open 24 hours?
Yes.
Campground entrances are open and manned 24 hours a day
between Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:00am and Sunday, July
27th at noon. We strongly advise arriving at your campground
in the daylight hours. Life will be much easier for all
of us if you plan it this way.
What
do I need to have with me when I arrive?
We
strongly urge you to buy your tickets and Campground Vehicle
Reservations early. This will dramatically shorten your
wait in line (which is usually pretty short, anyway) and
guarantee you a camping spot in the campground of your
choice. You will need to show ID as proof of age. There
will be a brief vehicle search as you enter the campgrounds
and parking areas. Tickets and Reservations will be available
for sale at the gate.
Where are the closest airports to the venue?
The closest
airport is in Fargo, North Dakota and is about a 45 minute
drive. The Minneapolis/St. Paul International airport
is a 4 hour drive north to the venue. There are numerous
car rental companies at both airports. We strongly suggest
making a reservation as soon as possible if you need
a car.
Will you be
providing any shuttles to/from the airports?
There
are no official 10KLF shuttles. However, MrBusDriver.com has
organized a number of airport bus shuttles from both the
Fargo, ND and Minneapolis, MN airports directly to the
festival grounds, with a return trip back to each airport.
There is also a pickup scheduled for St. Cloud, MN. For
more details Click
Here.
If I am
staying off site, can I leave and come back?
Yes.
As always, you need tickets and will go through security
checkpoints. There will be day parking available. Follow
the signs as you approach the venue.

Campgrounds
+ Camping
What
is a Campground Vehicle Reservation?
The
purchase of a Campground Vehicle Reservation guarantees
that a camping spot will be waiting for you when you
arrive at 10KLF. Reservations are available
when you purchase your tickets. Lake Sallie, Northwoods,
Blue Ox, Viking and VIP Campground reservations are
available for sale now in the Ticket
Store. Camping sites are limited in each campground.
We will stop selling reservations for a specific campground
once it is full.
Will
Campground Vehicle Reservations sell out?
It
is likely that the Lake Sallie and Northwoods Campground
Vehicle Reservations will sell out, as they are our
most popular campgrounds. The Soo Pass Ranch can handle
any size crowd, so additional campgrounds will be opened
if necessary. Buy your tickets and Campground Vehicle
Reservation now if camping in a particular campground
is important to you. You may arrive at the festival
without a campground reservation, but you will not
have a choice of campgrounds to choose from. You will
be directed to the nearest open campground where a
Campground Vehicle Reservation can be purchased.
Does
everyone in my vehicle need to have a Campground Vehicle
Reservation?
No.
You only need one Campground Vehicle Reservation per
vehicle. But each person in your car must have purchased
a Music & Camping Ticket, or must purchase one at the
gate.
Will
Campground Vehicle Reservations be available for
sale at the gate?
Yes,
but you will not be given a choice of campgrounds.
You will be sold a reservation for the campground with
available spots.
When
do the campgrounds open and close?
All
campgrounds will open at 10:00am on Wednesday,
July 23rd for Music and Camping Ticket holders. The
campgrounds will remain open until Sunday, July 27th
at noon. Do not arrive early. You will be turned
away.
The first band performances begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 23rd.
Will I be
camping next to my car?
Yes.
There are more than enough great camping spots at the 10,000
Lakes Festival. Many have lake views and shady trees and
most are spacious. Roads must be kept clear in order for
the sanitation and safety trucks to do their jobs. Please
help us keep tents and gear away from the roads.
Can we
leave the campgrounds and re-enter?
Yes.
Tickets, please. There will be security and vehicle checks
as you re-enter.
Can you
reserve a specific spot in a campground?
No. Campsites
are filled as vehicles come in. But, you can guarantee
that a spot will be available for you in a specific campground
with the purchase of a Campground Vehicle Reservation. You
must meet with your group before you arrive at the festival
in order to camp together.
Is
there a "Family Campground"?
Yes.
There will be a number of "Family Areas" in each
campground. Please tell the 10KLF camping personnel that
you wish to camp in the family area and we will accomodate
you if at all possible. Please keep in mind that this event
is intended for adults.
What will you be providing at the campgrounds?
There
will be bathrooms (mainly Porto-Johns), hand wash stations,
potable water, real showers and 24-hour security/medical.

the campgrounds and from a roving truck. A water and pumper
truck for RV services will be available during daylight

RV's will
be allowed at no charge and will have no designated area.
A very limited number of electrical hookups will be available
with the purchase of a VIP camping package. A roving "honey
dipper" will pump for a reasonable fee, but we recommend
that you dump your tanks properly before entering and after
leaving the festival site.
What is the largest size RV allowed in the campgrounds?
There
is no limit on the size of RV's that we allow.
What kind of handicap facilities will you be providing?

is a designated area for parking and camping for people
with special accessibility needs. You must have an official

calling volume, service may not be consistent.

I camp in the VIP Campground without having VIP Music & Camping
Tickets?

be fined and risk having their wares confiscated by the
State of Minnesota Health Department. These laws are in
place to protect the public from potential health risks,
not to hassle anyone. We must also protect the interests
of the authorized vendors who have spent their own hard-earned
money to vend at the festival. We appreciate your understanding

regarding unauthorized vending please email us at info@10klf.com
