In an effort to give back to the community the 10,000 Lakes
Festival has partnered with the Conscious Alliance,
the Rex Foundation, Rock The Earth, HeadCount,
the Seven Below Arts Initiative and
the Becker County Humane Society. These
groups do amazing work and we are happy to have them
on board!
You can help these great organizations by making a donation
while purchasing your festival tickets. 100% of your donation
will be split equally among our charity partners. |

HeadCount is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated
to registering voters and inspiring participation in democracy
through the power of music. The organization was founded in 2004
by a collective of artists, music industry professionals
and fans all determined to make sure the live music community is well-represented
at the polls. In
2008 it is staging the largest event-based voter registration
campaign in the U.S., and is the only non-profit organization
registering voters at concerts on a national scale.

The Seven Below Arts
Initiative: Reductions in public funding for the
arts have dramatically minimized opportunities to advance
and explore the richness of sculpture, painting, music,
dance, and other artistic endeavors at all levels. To help
fill this gap, Trey Anastasio has established the Seven
Below Arts Initiative to foster artistic development and
support arts education in Vermont. Through partnerships
with artists and other nonprofits, the Initiative will
offer residency programs at The Barn, a renovated, 200-year-old
property nestled in the Vermont hills. An outreach component
will feature educational opportunities for students of
all ages.

For 15 years the Becker County Humane Society
has offered safety, shelter and help for thousands of homeless
animals. This non-profit organization is currently made
up entirely of volunteers who care for animals and believe
that they deserve a warm and loving permanent home. Currently
they use temporary foster homes in their efforts to find
homes for abandoned and unwanted animals. In addition, they
continue to educate the public on population control, preventative
health care and obedience training.

| A Message
From The Conscious Alliance:
Dear 10KLF Patrons,
The Conscious Alliance regrets to inform you that we will
not be hosting our annual food drive at this year's 10KLF.
Due to the the recent shifts in the economy and the rising
cost of gas, the costs incurred to run our food drive event
has made it unfeasible for us to participate in this year’s
event.
We are very grateful for your support of the Conscious
Alliance and our mission to feed America's hungry. We look
forward to working with you in the near future! |
